Accounting, Cost Accountant

Baptista's Bakery, Inc., a fast-growing private-label manufacturer of baked snacks in Franklin, WI, seeks a key individual to perform cost accounting and related accounting functions.

Essential responsibilities and experience:• Maintain the standard costs files.• Perform cost reporting functions including preparation of daily manufacturing variances by shift and weekly/monthly contribution report, and maintain daily manufacturing related data        • Prepare cost estimates under the direction of the Manager.• A key player in the annual cost review and standard cost roll for budget/plan.• Assist with SKU price reconciliations and with general ledger activities, ie,daily reconciliation of general ledger inventory balances to perpetual and prepare month end manufacturing related closing entries.• Participate with the weekly inventory control and related physical inventories• Recommend cost and profit improvements; assist general accounting as needed; serve as back-up to Cost Accounting Manager

Ideal candidate will have an accounting degree plus one to three years of Cost Accounting experience and a solid background working with integrated ERP systems in a manufacturing environment, MS Excel and Word proficient, good communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as working in a team.  IT functionality experience a plus.
