The Timekeeper assumes responsibility for timely and accurate processing of payroll on scheduled pay days according to union contracts, human resources and deal memos. Position requires the ability to process and submit deductions, such as union and retirement plans, garnishments, trusts and other voluntary deductions. While maintaining employee information (address, W4, W2, trust, etc.) including updating and filling documents. The clerk will assist employees in understanding their paycheck information and answer any related questions.
The ideal candidate will have a solid knowledge base of payroll processes and calculations. Will have 1-2 years of recent payroll processing experience, preferably in entertainment. Will have some basic accounting skills/knowledge. Will be highly proficient with Microsoft applications, especially Excel, and accurate 10 key. Specific experience with SAP or Peoplesoft is highly desirable. Candidates must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, strong interpersonal and communications skills.
This position requires the ability to complete work independently and complete activities with time sensitive deadlines. Demonstrated ability to communicate payroll concepts and information with business personnel and the ability to work in a complex and rapidly changing environment.
