We are seeking a Quality Control Manager/Inspector to join our multi-year Job Order Contract with U.S. Navy at Bremerton Navy Base and other facilities. Scope of Responsibility Primary responsibility for providing, implementing and administering a quality control/assurance program to ensure that all work is performed in accordance with project plans and specifications as well as the standards and methods specified in the project Quality Control Plan. May assist in implementing and administering a site safety, health and substance abuse program. Implement and administer Quality Control Plan based on Government-approved Quality Control Manual *Develop schedule of activities to promote continuing attention to the production and installation of error-free work in compliance with project requirements. *Participate in Pre-Construction meeting with subcontractors to promote understanding of Quality Control Plan, applicable specification sections and quality level expected *Direct quality control inspectors in evaluating and testing construction activities *Perform daily inspections and/or direct inspectors to provide at least daily inspections to ensure compliance with delievery order requirements *Prepare material submittals and Material Delivery Verification Forms which certify that ordered material/equipment is in compliance with the drawings and specifications *Prepare Daily Quality Control Report which summarizes quality operations *Maintain on-site current records of quality control operations, activities, tests and inspections performed, including the work of subcontractors and suppliers *Maintain on-site record drawings and records of materials used *Maintain on-site records of factory tests and manufacturers' certifications *Arrange with testing laboratory to perform required tests on all materials proposed for use on project *Develop and implement methods and procedures to assess cost and responsibility for unacceptable material and supplies *Conduct or arrange periodic training sessions to keep project personnel informed on proper construction procedures and methods *Exercise stop work authority as needed *Investigate all client complaints regarding quality, and provide results to Project Executive for resolution with client *Provide Quality Control Reports weekly to Senior Vice President of Operations *Report any delinquent unresolved issues to Senior Vice President of Operations *Minimum five years experience in the construction industry with a commercial and/or industrial general contractor as a Quality Control Manager and/or Senior Quality Control Inspector *Excellent knowledge of building codes and general engineering principles *Good oral and written communication skills *OSHA Safety Course Certification, Red Cross First Aid and CPR Certification *Ability to manage multiple projects; well organized, self starter and strong driver to goals preferred.For quick consideration apply here
